Summer Camp 2021

Posted on Apr 5 2021 - 10:22pm

It is hard to believe, but it’s time to register for cub scout summer camp!  As of now, both formats of cub scout summer camp as of now are ON, and we are currently collecting registration fees and putting together our roster.  This year will undoubtedly be different due to COVID mitigations, but this is as close to the real deal as you’re going to get.   I would also like to say that summer camp is one of my favorite parts about scouting.  It truly is an adventure for the scouts.

COVID-19 Update

Posted on Feb 4 2021 - 11:03am

Phase 4 Tier 1 - COVID guidelines for your unit meetings:

  1. Keep that temperature and attendance log. You have been doing great so far!
  2. Make sure your Chartered Organization is on board with a larger meeting size. If they are not, you cannot do it. There is no exception to this. Some organizations are still requiring virtual meetings only.
  3. Wear a mask AND adhere to social distance guidelines. Wash your hands and have hand sanitizer available.
  4. Groups of up to 50 are permitted (indoor and outdoor) following the above and the group has to be split into smaller groups of 25 or less that do not inter mix or co-mingle.
  5. Clean your meeting space before and after - just like before.
  6. For camping - still no communal cooking/foods. No shared tents.
  7. Keep in mind, if the positivity rate goes up we might be back to a different mitigation level with little to no notice.
